Dear Child of God,
For the last few days we’ve been dealing with the enemies of progress, those things that seem to lie in wait until the moment you want to pursue a dream or vision or desire of your heart. God spoke to me that this is year where you will rebuild your life in one or more areas. So we must deal with these enemies in advance; that way even if they show up already they have been disarmed and you will know what to do.
When Sanballat and Tobiah realised that all their plans to stop Nehemiah had failed, they tried one final attempt to bring him down.
I went into the house of Shemaiah son of Delaiah, the son of Mehetabel, who was shut up. He said, Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple, and let us shut the doors of the temple, for they are coming to kill you—at night they are coming to kill you.But I said, Should such a man as I flee? And what man such as I could go into the temple [where only the priests are allowed to go] and yet live? I will not go in.And behold, I saw that God had not sent him, but he made this prophecy against me because Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him.He was hired that I should be made afraid and do as he said and sin, that they might have matter for an evil report with which to taunt and reproach me.(Nehemiah 6:10-13)
Nehemiah’s enemies went behind his back to try and set him up in order to make him vulnerable and weak.
Child of God, this is what your enemy will do. They will use lies and fear to try and drive you to make a decision that you would have never made otherwise. That is why this year, you must remain focused on what God is calling you to do. What God has started in your life He will surely finish it so don’t give in to fear when it comes knocking on your door.
** THERE IS A LYING SPIRIT THAT WANTS TO ENTICE YOU TO SIN SO THAT YOU CAN BE HANDED OVER TO SATAN **
Many great men and women have fallen victim to this because of pride. Look at what they tried to use against Nehemiah, the house of God. But yet in spite of how God was lifting Him up, he knew his place. He knew that he was not allowed there. Don’t let pride be your downfall. This year remain humble, remain on your knees in prayer, make God’s voice and opinion the most important one in your life. And that is why this year, more than ever, it will be so important for you to seek the face of God, to seek His wisdom and His counsel before making any decisions. Follow His Spirit.
For the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from the snare (Proverbs 3:26)
Child of God, there can be many different ways your enemy might try to set you up this year, but with the prayer points I have included for you below, you will defeat every plan of the enemy before it comes. May God rescue you from every trap of the enemy in Jesus name.
