** THERE IS A GREAT DESTINY YOU ARE CARRYING WITHIN YOU … BUT THERE ARE SOME BEHAVIOURS WHICH CAN CAUSE YOU TO LOSE EVERYTHING **
Dear Child of God,
For the last few days we have been discovering all about the spirit of singleness and how someone can be made single, either through birth, by somebody making them single, and finally what we discovered last night, there are those who make themselves single.
Child of God, this is none other than bad behaviours that make others want to have nothing to do with you. When it comes to this type of situation, it’s not the enemy but our own character flaws that get in the way and prevent us. Am talking things like pride, impatience, vanity, envy, jealousy, insecurity. Everyone has weaknesses but it’s when you allow those weaknesses to rule your life that you end up in devastating situations.
The Bible puts it this way,
Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. (Romans 8:5-7)
The Amplified version says that the mind of the flesh is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit. When we follow this instead of God, it leads to death. And this is what has killed many potentially great relationships and marriages.
Many women have destroyed their relationships because of insecurity; jumping to conclusions instead of trusting the Holy Spirit and leaning on Him for help. Instead of holding onto their partner they end up pushing them into someone else’s arms. Men and women today allow pride to get in the way; thinking they are better than one another. Many expect their partner to fit into all their checklist and expectations instead of adapting themselves and learning how to relate to somebody else in their own way.
The issue here is when you are carrying a great destiny inside you and the enemy is aware about it, he can begin to exploit your weaknesses. You see, many times it is the bad behaviours that have been developed over time and all what they do is push people away from you.
Abraham’s wife Sarah referred to him as Master or Lord. She didn’t just call him my husband but my Lord. My point here is that you could see the humility there. She recognised his rightful authority over her life. Anything with two heads is a monster, and when a house is divided it cannot stand. But today many husbands and wives are just two people living in the same house; sometimes the only thing they have in common with one another is their children. There’s no order, no communication, no honesty, just everyone wanting their own way. And it can never work like that because it’s not God’s way.
The Bible says,
Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Saviour of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her (Ephesians 5:22-25)
But we don’t see this today and that is why most relationships never make it to marriage, and most marriages never last.

Child of God, many times there are strongholds you are harboring that have been developed over time, either due to natural personality tendencies, or due to some things that happened in the past that caused you to put some defence mechanisms in place to avoid being hurt in future. Attitudes like “I don’t need anybody, I don’t need anyone to do anything for me, I’m not giving in to anybody, I’m not apologising they have to be the one to apologise. It’s just pride and selfishness. But it’s time to be delivered. It’s time to come out of the stronghold. For in the stronghold there is nothing but depression, delay and disappointment.
AFTER REPENTING OF THE SPIRIT OF PRIDE, SUDDENLY THERE WAS A BREAKTHROUGH IN HER RELATIONSHIP
One woman after hearing what I was preaching about last night, for over 10 years she was experiencing an on again off again relationship. Many times in the past when the man tried to reach out for her, she always allowed pride to get in the way. She will put him off and put him off but she didn’t realise how damaging her own behaviours were to the relationship. As a result, a marriage that should have taken place was delayed and everything was just hanging in the balance. But after listening to what I was talking about, suddenly it’s as if her eyes were open. She began to repent and ask God for forgiveness for the way she has been treating this man. She asked God to deliver her from every pride. It’s not that the man was perfect either, but many things that could have been resolved were never fixed or made worse because of bad behaviours. After she talked with her man suddenly it seemed there was now a light at the end of the tunnel; things became clearer and they are on the way to making progress.
