**I SAW IN MY SPIRIT …. SOMETHING THAT WANTS TO CUT YOU OFF FROM YOUR DELIVERANCE**
Dear Child of God,
Every day that we are alive we are forced to make decisions about the circumstances that we face. And it is the decisions that we make which determine what happens next. But what if the decision you keep making is the one that is keeping you from your deliverance?
Yesterday when I was praying for you, the Lord revealed to me there is a spirit of self-pity which wants to cause you to forfeit your deliverance and your destiny.
The Bible tells us about a man named Saul whom God ordained to be the first king of Israel. Samuel the prophet was his deliverer, he was assigned to deliver Saul from an ordinary lifestyle to one of royalty. But the day when Samuel revealed God’s plan to him, Saul only felt sorry for himself.
And Samuel answered Saul, and said, I am the seer: go up before me unto the high place; for ye shall eat with me to day, and to morrow I will let thee go, and will tell thee all that is in thine heart. And as for thine asses that were lost three days ago, set not thy mind on them; for they are found. And on whom is all the desire of Israel? Is it not on thee, and on all thy father’s house? And Saul answered and said, Am not I a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? and my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? wherefore then speakest thou so to me? (1 Samuel 9:19-21)
Child of God I believe with all my heart that you have a destiny and God has called you, but something has happened. Yes, there’s a reason that God has chosen you, there are people’s lives that are depending on you, but self-pity wants to rob you of it.
You see people who practise self-pity are self-absorbed with their problems, they focus on everything that is wrong instead of everything that is right. The attitude of a person with self-pity is woe is me, everything bad always happens to me, life isn’t fair, I don’t deserve this, I’m no good.
But I need you to understand the danger in this mentality.
Elijah, a great man of God, ended up forfeiting his own destiny because of this same spirit. Though God used him mightily, the day when a queen threatened his life, he ran away to the mountain of God and told God to take him for he was no better than his fathers.
** THE SPIRIT OF SELF-PITY WANTS YOU TO FOCUS ON YOUR WEAKNESS BUT GOD WANTS YOU TO FOCUS ON HIS STRENGTH **
You see the spirit of self-pity wants to robs you of your strength. You need grace to accomplish the plans of God for your life, but there is no grace when self-pity is allowed to rule. Though God has equipped you, but the spirit of self-pity will make you feel that you are unqualified; that you are inadequate.
Jonah cried, “They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy”. (Jonah 2:8)
As long as you are focusing on your fears, focusing on your weakness, focusing on poor old me, you separate yourself from the mercy and grace of God, you separate yourself from your deliverance. Yes, you may not be perfect, but don’t ever give up. You may be tested with everything that happened in your father’s house, but you must know that you are different. God has chosen you to break the curse.
This spirit has killed many destinies before but you must break free from this. As long as you continue feeling sorry for yourself, your situation is not going to get any better, in fact it will only get worse. But it is the work of this spirit to produce this type of thoughts and behaviours.
That is why tonight, during the Healing & Miracle Service, I’m going to be praying for you especially for God to deliver you from every spirit of self-pity that has been sabotaging your progress.
